We are currently in the process of building a new kind of online resource which will service Owen Sound/Grey-Bruce area and would appreciate your thoughts on what will make it truly great and really useful.

Pretty straight forward question. Most of the work being done on theOwen is geared to high speed users but don't get discouraged yet dial-uppers we'll have some goodies for you too!

Web Use I've got the web basics (surfing, searching, bill payment) Web Savy ( I know what control N does!) Web ninja ( all the above and beyond, and you most likely use firefox!)

a rough estimate is all we're looking for. The question will hopefully give us an idea of how likely it will be that you may have the time to stop by theOwen.com to check things out

Any thoughts you can provide could be usefull insight as we build theOwen.com to make it as helpful as possible for our users
Where do you begin a search online?

If you are looking for something online where do you begin you search? Google? Yahoo? others?
Do you use a personalized homepage? Yes No
Personalized home pages are a service offered by the big search engines where you control the content on your default internet start page.
Would you consider using a persoanlized home page which provide local content if we gave you the option? Yes No
While the initial site release will not have this functionality it is something we are considering. Personally I start with a plain old google search page, but then again I haven't built something better yet!
Do you search for local info on the Web and What kind of info are you seeking?

If not you could give us some feedback on why not and if so we would love some feedback on where you go to get your local info online.
